Artwork Requirements

 

I. Order of Preferred Programs:


1. Adobe Illustrator: (Preferred)
a. Convert All Text to Outlines!

2. Adobe Photoshop: (Preferred) .EPS, .TIFF, .PSD
a. 300-600 DPI Files are fine. Please do not send 1,200 DPI files, unless absolutely
necessary.

3. Quark Xpress: (Not Ideal, but acceptable)
a. Must send all liked items and fonts with file-Use Quark’s “Collect for Output”.

4. Adobe InDesign: (Not Preferred, but acceptable)
a. Covert all text to outlines and export as an .EPS File.

5. Macromedia Freehand: (Not Preferred, but acceptable)
a. Convert all text to outlines and export as an .EPS File.

6. Corel Draw: (Not Preferred, but acceptable)
a. Export as an .EPS or .TIFF and convert text to outlines upon export.


*NOT ACCEPTED: Microsoft Publisher, Word, Paint, Etc.


*All linked images, screen fonts and printer fonts should be included for programs that will not allow fonts to converted to paths or outlines. It's also a good idea to include a PDF or JPEG of the finished artwork on files that are sent to us over the internet. Files that are supplied on disk should include a printed copy of the artwork.


II. Poster Production


Poster Production Art for 30-sheet bleed posters should be created at 1/2 inch equals 1 foot scale.
Finished size for a bleed poster is 10.41 feet tall by 22.66 feet wide.
Artwork will be 5.2 inches by 11.3 inches.
No extra bleed is necessary.
Extended advertising space is not allowed on poster panels.
The same artwork can also be used for 8-sheet "Junior" panels ( 5 feet by 11 feet).Scans:
All scans should be at least 300 dpi.
Colors
All colors should be CMYK.
Solid black should be created as 70 C, 60 M, 45 Y and 100 K


III. Bulletin Production (Vinyl)


Art should be created at 1/2 inch equals 1 foot scale.
Example: A 14' x 48' vinyl bulletin would be 7 inches tall by 24 inches wide with a quarter inch
bleed added all the way around making the finished art size 7.5 inches by 24.5 inches.
Extended advertising space is usually limited to 5 feet above, 2 feet to each side and 1 foot below
the normal face of the display.
Scans
All scans should be at least 300 dpi.
Colors
All colors should be CMYK.
Solid black should be created as 80 C, 70 M, 45 Y and 100 K.
